November 18 marked the formal launch and inaugural event for NYU Sports and Society Program, a panel discussion held at NYU Kimmel Center in New York City. Program chairman, Arthur R. Miller, moderated the panel that included leading figures in sports, business, education, law, ethics, journalism, and fandom: Fred Wilpon, Harry Carson, Garland Allen, Rob Manfred, Cameron Myler, Mike Francesa, Brendan Shanahan, Tony Ponturo, Robert Sack, Steve Greenberg, Arthur Caplan, Kiki VanDeWeghe, and Lesley Visser.
