While the Washington Redskins have been presured in the past to change their name, they now have a new critic - the United States Congress. In a letter sent to team owner, Dan Snyder, 10 members of Congress write:
“Native Americans throughout the country consider the ‘R-word’ a racial, derogatory slur akin to the ‘N-word’ among African Americans or the ‘W-word’ among Latinos.”
