Members Of US Congress Urge Redskins To Change Nickname

While the Washington Redskins have been presured in the past to change their name, they now have a new critic – the United States Congress. In a letter sent to team owner, Dan Snyder, 10 members of Congress write:

“Native Americans throughout the country consider the �?R-word’ a racial, derogatory slur akin to the �?N-word’ among African Americans or the �?W-word’ among Latinos.”
