As to what this is a celebration of, I would suggest that the Super Bowl, and more appropriately, the Super Week is a celebration of Americanism. Consumerism, celebrity, media overexposure, family (on screen and off), food and football. It’s not perfect for real fans, or casual fans, but its American Sporting Theatre at its most extravagant.
