Team News for Manchester City Ahead of Leicester Trip
Manchester City go into the game against Leicester City as they seek to extend their amazing start to the season. Pep Guardiola’s team have been able to go eight points clear at the top, and they make the trip to the King Power stadium in amazing run of form. There are even predictions and expectations that City can go through the entire campaign without suffering a defeat. However, the match against Leicester City could pose one or two issues for City in the race for the league title. One of the biggest challenges for the Manchester outfit is the presence of a new man at the helm of Leicester.
Craig Shakespeare has been replaced by Claude Puel last month and the club have shown plenty of improvement since he came as the manager. Leicester have already provided a lot of the top teams some tough matches. To make things even tougher, Manchester City are missing a number of key players with the most important among them being Sergio Aguero. The superstar and the club’s top scorer will be assessed after suffering a collapse at half-time of the game between Argentina and Nigeria. However, the expectation is that he will be fit for the game.

Fabian Delph and Raheem Sterling have been taken out of the England squad due to concerns about the injury. Even though both players missed the friendly matches for England, it is not expected that they will be unavailable for the upcoming game. However, one player who will certainly miss the match against Leicester is Benjamin Mendy, who has a long-term cruciate ligament issue. Vincent Kompany is expected to return to the matchday squad after having made a sufficient recovery from his calf problem. Nicolas Otamendi is the only player to be unavailable for the game due to suspension.
